Serving Those Who Served
Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona (Habitat) is proud to partner with U.S. Military Veterans and families of veterans in Maricopa and portions of Pinal county to provide a pathway to home ownership and to assist current veteran homeowners with much needed repairs or modifications to their existing residence.
Veterans encounter unique and complex challenges as they transition from military to civilian life, including obtaining services such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare. With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to surge across the United States, it has become increasingly harder for veterans to get the support they need.
Habitat recognizes COVID-19’s impact on veterans’ mental, physical, and emotional health, the pandemic’s role in making veterans access to essential services such as housing even more challenging and is committed to ensure veterans in Maricopa County have greater access to affordable housing.
Veterans interested in homeownership must meet all Habitat for Humanity qualifications (including income guidelines). Applicants must be able to demonstrate their veteran status from the United States Military.
Habitat also offers affordable home repairs to their existing residence. Services can include fixing a leaking roof, replacing an air conditioner, or replacing windows for new energy- efficient ones. Habitat addresses health and safety issues such as replacing water heaters, building ramps and converting tubs to showers and adding grab bars.
Veterans in need of affordable home repairs, or may be in need of a new, decent place to call home are encouraged to contact Habitat at 602-268-9022 and ask to speak with Family Services or fill out the contact form below.
