Did you know that the great state of Arizona offers you an opportunity to receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your state income taxes? It’s true! Let’s say you owe the state $400 at tax time.
You can donate that amount to a Qualified Charitable Organization like Habitat for Humanity and that amount will come right off what you owe the state – It’s that simple!
You can direct up to $400 to Habitat, and it comes back to you when you file your taxes! Dollar for dollar – Up to $800, if you’re filing jointly.
To claim the credit you must:
• be an Arizona resident
• complete Arizona tax form 321 and include it with your tax return
• file no later than April 15th
It’s kind of a no brainer and you’ll feel great!
