Habitat Welcomes Two New Board Members

Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona is pleased to announce the addition of two new board members. Meet Linda Luman, with over 20 years of passionate leadership experience, is the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Achieve, a prominent digital personal finance company in Tempe, Arizona. Managing a workforce of 2,800 employees, Linda leads all human capital functions such as talent management including talent acquisition, retention, learning and development, and DEI.  Her commitment to Achieve’s exceptional company culture has earned commendation and fuels the organization’s robust hiring efforts.

She serves as the President of Career Connectors, a non-profit organization assisting individuals in career transitions throughout the Valley. Linda’s esteemed involvement extends to the President’s Advisory Council of Rio Salado Community College and the board of directors for the Arizona Foundation for Women. 

Before joining Achieve in 2015, Linda held several executive HR leadership roles at fast-growing and high-performance companies like GT Advanced Technologies and United Rentals. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Linda earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Her outstanding contributions were recognized with the prestigious 2023 Most Influential Women in Phoenix, AZ award.

Sebastian Porchini

Meet Sebastian Porchini, an esteemed resident of the West Valley with a strong connection to the area. Originally from Mexico City, Sebastian has called the West Valley home since the age of 6. While attending Arizona State University in Tempe, he pursed his passion for Finance, earning a bachelor’s degree in the field in 2012.

Sebastian’s journey at FirstBank began right after graduation, where he joined as a Management Trainee. Since then, he has achieved significant growth within the organization and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President. Leading a team of junior officers, Sebastian effectively assists in managing branch operations throughout the West Valley and actively contributes to business development, loan origination, and community engagement. Furthermore, he plays a crucial role in fostering branch growth and profitability.

Beyond his professional commitments, Sebastian is deeply involved with various organizations. He currently serves as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee at WESTMARC, showcasing his dedication to the region’s development. Additionally, Sebastian serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Housing Coalition.

Sebastian’s commitment to personal growth is evident through his completion of a three-year executive education program conducted by the American Bankers Association in collaboration with The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019.
