What Can You Find at a Habitat ReStore?
Habitat ReStores are home improvement stores with inventory that is always changing. Donations arrive throughout the week, which means every visit can uncover something completely different.
Shoppers may find:
- New and gently used appliances
- Mattresses and bedroom furniture
- Living room and kitchen furniture
- Plumbing supplies and paint supplies
- Flooring and home improvement materials
- Home decor, gadgets, knickknacks and antiques

How to Donate to Habitat ReStore
Donating is straightforward, and there are two convenient ways to do it.
Drop Off Donations Seven Days a Week
Donations can be dropped off at a local Habitat ReStore seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a simple option for people who are already loading up a vehicle, finishing a move or clearing space for a new project.
Schedule a Free Donation Pickup
For larger items or donations that are difficult to transport, Habitat ReStore offers free donation pickup. This service is available five days a week and is one of the ways ReStore makes donating useful items easier for Central Arizona residents.
There are two ways to schedule:
- Visit Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona’s ReStore donation page and select the pickup scheduling option.
- Call 623-551-6000 to speak with a live representative. The call center is open five days a week.
Donating is a win-win. It can help simplify a home, keep useful items in circulation and support a great cause. Donors also receive a donation receipt for tax purposes.

Shopping ReStore Supports Affordable Housing
Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona operates four ReStores in the Valley: Tempe, Central Phoenix, West Phoenix and Peoria.
At each location, donated and new items are sold at affordable prices. The net proceeds support Habitat’s core mission of building affordable housing. ReStore works alongside that mission by giving quality items a second life, making home improvement more accessible and turning community generosity into tangible support for local families.
That is the impact behind a purchase. A donated cabinet, a set of chairs, an appliance or a box of surplus building materials can become part of someone else’s project while also helping advance affordable housing in Central Arizona.
How the Habitat ReStore Online Store Extends the Mission
Not every great ReStore find stays local. Habitat ReStore also sells select items online through its e-commerce operation, creating an additional sales channel that supports the affordable housing mission.
Online listings generally focus on items that can be shipped by ground, including smaller products and items available in larger quantities. For example, if someone donates 100 thermostats, a portion of that overstock may be listed online.
E-commerce also provides a better home for items that can be harder to merchandise in a traditional home improvement store, including:
