Emergency Home Repair

In partnership with the City of Peoria, Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona’s Emergency Home Repair Program provides urgent home repairs to those in need of affordable home repairs within these cities.

Thanks to federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, the City of Peoria provides emergency home repair assistance to those in need of affordable home repairs who are Peoria residents. The cities’ Emergency Home Repair Programs utilize non-profit partners, including Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona, to provide emergency repair services. Our knowledgeable construction staff will assess each emergency and work to address urgent issues such as heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical systems, structural issues, roofing problems and accessibility. This program does not provide service for refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, garbage disposals, electrical appliances, washers/dryers, or swimming pools.

To be eligible for assistance through the Emergency Home Repair Program, clients must meet the following criteria:
  • The property must be located within city limits.
  • Applicants must own and occupy the residence.
  • All household members must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Total household income must meet the income guidelines.
