At Habitat, we firmly believe that we are what we celebrate. When celebrating something as big as 35 years of building homes, communities and hope in Arizona it is essential to have strong community partners who make it fun. State Forty Eight teamed up with us, not just on an amazing collaborative shirt, but also for an awesome day of volunteering and bringing people together.  We painted, finished trim, and even prepped for landscape on two of the first new Habitat homes in Central City South.

Collaborating with an organization born from a genuine passion and appreciation for the great state of Arizona was really a no-brainer. State Forty Eight Co-founder, Stephen Polando in an interview said, “We’ve created an amazing opportunity for the State Forty Eight community to volunteer with Habitat and work alongside an Arizona family that is literally building a better future and a stronger community.” State Forty Eight fans are incredibly passionate and their enthusiasm was greatly appreciated. They were eager to get the day’s tasks done and excited to work alongside the Habitat families that were on site. Future homeowners, Miguel and Karen, were also on-site to work on their home and were very excited about the progress being made.  This home should be ready by March 2020.

After a productive morning, the celebration continued at an afterparty at The Churchill where State Forty Eight has a retail location and Habitat was able to sell the new shirts.

If you missed out, you can still grab your shirt at our new online store!  Shirts are $35, to celebrate our 35th year in Central Arizona, and all proceeds go to support the ongoing mission of Habitat.
