LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) for Homes

Fall 2008, HFHCAZ was the first Habitat affiliate to build a LEED Platinum Certified home. With that in mind, HFHCAZ has continued to build 97 LEED Certified Homes and 69 LEED Certification-Seeking Homes.

Features of a LEED certified home include:

  • Improved Indoor Air Quality
  • Durability of Construction
  • Minimized Environmental Footprint
  • Increased Water Efficiency
  • Improved Energy Efficiency
