building better futures

Habitat builds better futures for local families in need of decent affordable housing.

Across the valley, Habitat builds quality housing to improve neighborhoods and enrich the lives of families living in substandard housing. Following these principles ensures that Habitat homes meet the families’ basic needs and can continue to do so for years to come.

 What We Build:

  • Homes have between three and five bedrooms with a minimum of two bathrooms; townhomes are two stories and have three bedrooms.
  • Reflect the style of the neighborhood in which they are built.
  • Average home values range between $110,000 and $185,000; well
below the average values of the homes (costs are subject to change without notice).

 How We Build:

  • Use the National Standards of the For Profit Building Community and Energy Star Standards.
  • Volunteers and future homeowners partner on Habitat homes to do the carpentry, roofing, siding, interior trim, painting, and landscaping.
  • Subcontractors for the site and foundation work, HVAC and stucco and plumbing.
